Hey!

This is the end result of around 6 months of work on my master's project. It has undergone a lot of modification and could still be worked on but I feel that it's in a good state for now.

If I have time in the future, I would like to get the size of the game down a bit and work on optimization to make if more smooth.

What's the game about?

The project is inspired by my great-grandfather on my mother's side. He was a avid admirer of nature, working as an forestry engineer and spending a lot of time with the Innu Nation in the north of the province of Quebec. He wrote a series of book on forest survival and fauna observation.  I decided to use this subject to study how creating a game based upon an individual whose life experience and values can influence my own views and values. 

What do you actually do in the game?

Experience the four seasons across 12 environments inspired by the paintings of Paul Provencher. Equipped with your camera, find interesting places to photograph and watch the world evolve. 

How do you play the game?

The controls are displayed on screen but here they are : 

• Move around : W/A/S/D
• Look around : Mouse
• Camera :
  • Open camera : Right Click
  • Zoom : Mouse Wheel
  • Take picture : Left Click
  • Open / Close photo album : TAB
• Toggle flashlight : F
• Close the game : ESC to open the pause menu
